Living your principles and making a living seldom go hand-in-hand. Mixologists Chad Hauge, Alicia Hauge, and Mike Melazzo set out to do exactly that when they founded Common Good Cocktail House in Glen Ellyn, IL.
With the three of them having spent years in Chicago’s bar and restaurant scene, knowing the toll it can take on one’s mental and physical health, they aimed to establish a business that was more employee-friendly and community-oriented. We admired their approach, loved the creativity behind their drinks, and wanted to share their story.
In this 10 minute documentary, Chad, Alicia, and Mike tell us how they got their start in the cocktail business, what motivated them to start Common Good, and where they would like to see it go in the future.
